Irish pizza franchise acquisition opens UK door
A new pizza franchise is set to hit the UK market in the near future giving British entrepreneurs the chance to run their own takeaway business, The Sunday Times reports.
/Franchise PR News/ - DUBLIN, IRELAND, October 05, 2006 - A new pizza franchise is set to hit the UK market in the near future giving British entrepreneurs the chance to run their own takeaway business, The Sunday Times reports.
Anthuan Xavier, lead investor in the accountancy firm Zowington, is believed to have bought the Four Star Pizza franchise in Ireland is drawing up plans to bring it to the UK.
According to the Sunday Times, Mr Xavier paid over 5 million to buy the Irish rights to the Four Star Pizza trademark from Wicklow businesswoman Anne O'Leary.
The new owner has also agreed to purchase the rights to the international trademark for Britain as part of an ambitious plan to double the size of the pizza chain over the next five years.
There are currently 32 Four Star Pizza outlets across Ireland, the majority of them in the republic. The first store was opened in 1988.
