Young Britons are struggling with debts
More and more young Britons are coming under the category of debtors at an alarming rate. However, there are some simple ways to tackle with such situations and young Britons are also urged to take care of their finances.
/Franchise PR News/ - LONDON, UK, October 19, 2006 - As per the survey, more and more Britons are suffering from debt problems. As per the survey done by the Debt Counsellors, over 45% of people, who are under the age of 26 are looking forward to get help to deal with their debts. These people owe more than 10,000.
Moreover, out of these 26.5% have debts between 10,001 and 20,000. On the other hand, the survey shows that 29.2% of those who are looking forward to get help owe between 5,000 and 10,000.
According to John Porter, who is among the Debt Counsellors believes that there can be innumerable reasons behind such debt problems among the young Britons.
Porter said: "Credit is easily available for young people these days and along with the 'want now, pay later' culture, it's a recipe for disaster. Rising student debt is also factor, along with the expense of getting on the property ladder." He also insisted that debt solutions are easily available thus, the young Britons should look for professional counselling.
