Canines Fighting Cancer: Dogtopia Pampers Dogs for a Cause
Franchise Helps Find the Cure with Second Annual 'Paws for Pink' Campaign
BETHESDA, MD, September 29, 2011 /Franchise PR News/ -- Dogs across the country will get primped and pampered in October, all in the name of breast cancer awareness and research. Dogtopia, a full-service dog day care, spa and boutique with locations throughout the U.S. is 'fighting for the cure' in their second annual "Paws for Pink" campaign.
From October 1-16, all 23 Dogtopia locations in 11 states will be giving pups fabulous fluffs and perfect pawdicures to help raise money for cancer research. For everyone who treats their canine to a spa bath or nail trim in October, Dogtopia will donate 10 percent of the purchase price to support breast cancer research and community awareness programs.
"At Dogtopia, we're always looking for ways our business can help raise money or awareness for an important cause," said Amy Nichols, CEO and Founder of Dogtopia. "Last year's event was a wonderful experience and all of our local communities really came together to help support such a worthy cause."
Dogtopia was founded by Nichols in 2002 in Tyson's Corner, VA. With a passionate culture committed to giving back, Dogtopia and its franchisees are extremely active in all types of community service, including working with animal welfare organizations and often raising money for charitable causes.
